Progress Continues

If there’s one thing the System Mastery podcast has taught me, it’s the importance of answering the question: “That’s neat, but how do I actually use this thing to run a game?”

So, I’m working on adding more concrete GM advice, by adding progress clocks* to the scenario.

Here’s a little preview.

The blue censor lines are just to avoid spoilers, they’ll be revealed in the final PDF.

The number of wedges is still up in the air. Based on a great suggestion from someone (we’ll call them C. to protect their identity), I might give the first quarter of the Suspicion Clock more wedges, representing an early, shall we say more trusting stage of the relationship. I’m also considering giving the ████████████ clock three wedges, as having something terrible happen immediately at the conclusion of three mini-adventures feels like better pacing to me. Feel free to say which you’d prefer in the comments.

The updated PDF should be done in a couple of days, with more additions in the near future.

*Progress clocks are an elegant game design tool popularized by Blades in the Dark. You can find more info here.
